Kuwait kicks off 21st GCC cup with 2-0 win against Yemen
Kuwait football team kicked off its 21st football Gulf Cup of Nations tournament match, with a win against Yemen 2-0 on Sunday.
The first half ended goalless, but in the second Kuwait’s Yusuf Nasser scored at the 63th minute from a header. The second goal was made by also Striker Bader Al-Mutawa at the 82nd minute, a shot from a bouncing ball from outside the 18th yard. After the match, the Kuwaiti team, the defending champion, now with three points and Yemen with no points. Next Wednesday the Kuwaiti team will face Iraq, while Saudi Arabia play against Yemen.
